FAQ

What is the ECNL Regional League - Greater Michigan Alliance (ECNL RL - GMA)?

The ECNL Regional League delivers a high-level, professionally run environment across all regions. It promotes consistent club development and provides a clear pathway for players to grow within their club, advancing toward their highest potential. It also strengthens collaboration between teams of varying levels within ECNL RL clubs and offers a valuable competitive outlet for top players.

How does ECNL RL support collegiate and professional ambitions?
By competing in top-tier events, such as national showcases, tournaments, and inter-conference matchups, players gain critical exposure to college scouts and play against some of the country’s best clubs and talent. This environment helps players prepare for the next level in both college and, potentially, professional soccer.

“The ECNL RL – Greater Michigan Alliance will support the great development work done by the best clubs in Michigan, and will deepen the impact of the ECNL RL in one of the talent hotbeds of the country,” said ECNL Regional League Commissioner Chris Leahey.

“Clubs in Michigan are constantly competing for championships nationally in both genders, and this league will provide pathways and opportunities for more players, teams, and clubs from the state moving forward. These additions continue to strengthen the ECNL Regional Leagues and elevate the play of the platform across the country.”
