Welcome to the League

January  15, 2023

We are excited to announce that Cap City Athletic 1847 has joined the Michigan Women’s Super League as a founding member club. We feel that the WSL will provide our players with an environment that will allow them to grow as players in a way that supplements their college experience.

It is important to us that the environment we provide puts the health and safety of each of our athletes first. With the goal of helping to prepare these players for their upcoming college seasons, the proper rest and recovery periods, competition window, and minutes played are all pieces of the puzzle when deciding where to play.  The WSL is a great fit for us in that regard as we come together with like-minded clubs to serve our players.

“Cap City is committed to growing the women’s game, developing players and supporting athletes who aspire to play at the highest level. They are a great addition to WSL,” said WSL commissioner Aaron Roy.

Coach Mandras Returning for 2nd Season

February 1, 2023

We could not be more excited to announce that Erin Konheim Mandras has agreed to continue as the coach of our women's pro-am team!

It was important to us that we find a strong female leader for this team. Someone that has both played and coached at a high level but more importantly, someone that exemplifies all of the leadership and character skills that we want to develop in all of our players.

Coach Mandras checks all of the boxes!
