Cap City Athletic 1847 is proud to continue with our goals to provide opportunities to develop our players on more than just the soccer field. This Spring we be working with in our community and provide service to the City of Lansing and the Lansing River Trail. All teams will be asked to participate in the clean up of the Lansing River Trail. We hope that many parents are able to participate as well. We hope that this small act of service will continue to build the character of our players, families, and organization.
The Lansing River Trail now stretches all the way from Waverly Road to
Old Town. You can also catch it from Potter Park into MSU. Altogether, over 20 miles of paved trail pass through numerous parks and natural areas, as well as
Downtown Lansing. You can learn more about the Lansing River Trail at

Group Task List:
1. All groups will meet at 6:00pm at their assigned location.
2. Bring your entire group in.
3. Review the areas we will cover.
4. Talk about specific rules and directions for clean up.
5. Take a group photo.
6. Send them on their way to Clean!
Clean Up Rules:
1. All players/parents must wear gloves. Preferable heavy work gloves.
2. All players should wear a Cap City top.
3. Players should preferably wear pants.
4. Players/parents should wear outdoor shoes that can handle wet areas and walk a distance.
5. All trash bags will be provided. Please place all trash inside provided trash bags.
6. Place any large items as tires or lumber in a separate pile.
7. Leave collected bags of trash in one location designated on your group map.
8. Be careful. Be aware of what you are picking up. Lansing is an urban area. You may see broken glass or needles. Please have adults pick up any item that you is unsafe or if you are unsure.
